Concept Art

Articles can be packed with information, and expert insight, but first one must capture the reader’s attention. Conceptual art can do that with a pop of color and unique juxtaposition of elements to help tell the story, at-a-glance. I collaborate with clients to settle on the concept for the image, sketching rough ideas to choose from, followed by a final sketch. Once that’s approved I “go to Final”.

Materials: Mixed-media with acrylics, watercolor, pen and ink, colored pencils, and digital collage with photos.

Clients: Washingtonian Magazine, Time-Life Books, GAO Journal, CSI Association, National Association of Fundraising Executives.
